Dr Richard Wu, Associate Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Hong Kong, LLB (HKU) PCLL (HKU), BSc (Economics), LLM (London), MBA (Warwick), LLB, LLM (Peking), LLM (IT and Telecommunications Law) (Strathclyde) and PhD (London). Dr Wu obtained his law degrees from the University of Hong Kong, Peking University and University of London. He is the only legal scholar who studied Hong Kong and Chinese laws at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Dr Wu is a Visiting Scholar of Peking University Law School and Melbourne Law School, Visiting Professor of Tsinghua University Law School and Visiting Academic of Faculty of Law, University College London and TC Beirne School of Law, University of Queensland. He is also a legal academic with a successful practice track record. He spent more than ten years in private practice, and served as a partner of the largest and oldest law firm in Hong Kong in his time before joining academia in 1998.
Over the past two decades, Dr Wu has integrated his practice experience to teach conveyancing law from a transactional perspective. Currently, he teaches Property Transactions, China Practice, and Ethical Lawyering for Public Interest at HKU Law Faculty. He is also a leading scholar researching land title registration development both locally and globally.
